What is General Ticket Cancellation & Refund Rules?

The amount deducted is based on the time of cancellation and the status of your ticket. Deed are given below:

For cancellation of confirmed tickets more than 48 hours advance of the scheduled departure of the train.

Flat cancellation charges per passenger:-

AC first/Executive class - Rs.240/-

AC-2tier/1st class - Rs.200/-

AC-3tier/AC chair car, AC-3Economy - Rs.180/-

Sleeper - Rs.120/-

Second class - Rs.60/-

For cancellation of confirmed tickets less than 48 hours and upto 12 hours before the scheduled departure of the train, the cancellation charges will be 25% of the total fare paid by you subject fo minimum flat cancellation charge.

For cancellation of confirmed tickets less than 12 hours before the scheduled departure of the train and upto 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train, the cancellation charges will be 50% of the fare paid by you, subject to minimum flat cancellation charges for each class.

For cancellation of RAC/Waitlisted tickets if ticket is presented for cancellation upto 30 min before the scheduled departure of the train irrespective of distance, Full refund of fare will be given, after deducting the clerkage charge per passenger

If you are having a ticket with several legs of journey:

If the first leg of the journey is confirmed the whole ticket will be treated as a confirmed ticket for purpose of applying cancellation/refund rules.

On the other hand if the first leg of the journey is in the waiting list, even if the all the other legs of onward journey are confirmed, the whole ticket will still be treated only as waitlisted ticket for purpose of granting refund.

Cancellation of RAC e-Ticket?

You can cancel RAC e-Ticket upto 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the train. No refund is permissible after that.

The E-ticket may be booked and cancelled through internet and the Refund of fare shall be credited to the customer's account after deducting the charges applicable. As in case of confirmed e-ticket, RAC e-ticket / waitlisted ticket.

In case of the waitlisted e-ticket on which status of all the passengers is on waiting list even after preparation of reservation charts, names of all such passengers booked on that Passenger Name Record (PNR) shall be dropped from the reservation chart and Refund of fare shall be credited to the customer's account after deducting the clerkage charges.

In case of a Party e-Ticket or a Family e-Ticket issued for travel of more than one person, some persons have confirmed reservation and others are on the list of RAC and waiting list, then in case of passengers on RAC or waitlisted not travelling, a certificate has to be obtained from the ticket checking staff to that effect and Refund of fare shall be processed online through TDR, indicating the details of the certificate issued by ticket checking staff.

The online TDR shall be filed upto 72 hours of actual arrival of the train at passenger's destination and the original certificate issued by the ticket checking staff is to be sent through post to IRCTC.

The fare shall be refunded by IRCTC to the customer's Bank Account after due verification.

In case of e-Ticket (Confirmed or RAC), if the reservation charts have been prepared, online TDR is required to be filed for obtaining Refund.

No refund of fare shall be admissible on the Tickets Having Confirmed Reservation in case the ticket is not cancelled or TDR not filed online upto 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train.

No refund of fare shall be admissible on RAC e-tickets is case the ticket is not cancelled or TDR not filed online upto 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the train.

 
What is GNWL, PQWL, RLWL Ticket Cancellation / Refund Rules?

Waitlisted e-Ticket(GNWL, PQWL, RLWL) on which status of all the passengers is on waiting list even after preparation of reservation charts, names of all such passengers booked on that Passenger Name Record (PNR) shall be dropped from the reservation chart and Refund of fare will be automatically credited in Bank Account in 3 to 7 working days after deducting the clerkage.

In case of fully waitlisted e-Ticket, refund after deducting clerkage will be processed automatically in the same account through which the payment was made at the time of booking.

If Train Cancelled, How to get Refund?

If Train Cancelled e-Ticket Refund will be automatically credited in Bank Account in 3 to 7 days.

 
Can I claim full refund if my train is cancelled?

If your train is cancelled due to accidents, breaches or floods and any other reason, you will be refunded the full fare paid by you. To claim this refund, you should surrender your ticket within three days of the scheduled de-parture of the train.

 

How to cancel Flight tickets?

To cancel your tickets, simply follow the steps below:

Provide the Booking ID or PNR corresponding to your booking and the Contact Number that you gave at the time of the booking.
You can choose to cancel your entire booking or cancel any specific passengers or sectors in your booking.
Please discuss the cancellation penalty and refund amount before you confirm to cancel the booking.
The refund amount would reflect in the same account that was used to make the payment at the time of the booking.
Cancellation penalty may different as per the airlines.
